Mail Questionnaires

In this method a set of questions are sent by mail to the informants, they are expected to answer the questions and mail them back to the investigator. This method is useful when the are of coverage is very wide and the informats are educated.

Merits :
-Wide coverage is possible with less efforts.
-Collected information is free from bias of informants.
Demerits :
-Information can be collected from the illiterates only.
-If the questionnaire is complex, it may not be responded well.
-There are chances of non-response.
