CPU performs various functions, and they are :
-It receives the input from input devices.
-It sends the signals to other units, and it controls entire system.
-It sends the output to output devices.
-It performs various arithmetic and logical operations.
-It stores the data in primary memory, and sends the data to secondary storage devices.
-CPU interprets the instructions and it makes them understandable the computer.
Central Processing Unit consists of these 3 units :
-Control Unit(CU)
-Arithmetic And Logical Unit(ALU)
-Memory Unit(MU)
